Every Conor McGregor UFC Fight Ranked From Worst To Best

3. Khabib Nurmagomedov

Where: UFC 229

This will go down in history for all the wrong reasons. When Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov finally got their hands on each other, the chaos and shenanigans that took place after the fight will likely forever overshadow the actual fight itself.

However, we're not here to talk about Khabib drop kicking some folks outside of the cage, we're here to talk about the 18 minutes and three seconds they spent inside the cage.

Coming up against a guy like Nurmagomedov, McGregor's biggest obstacle was always going to be wrestling and the grapple game. The Russian has always been an absolute mauler who picks apart his opponents with some of the most viscous ground and pound you will ever see once he's already wrestled them into exhaustion.

We're talking about a man who trained as a 9-year-old by wrestling a bear!

The first two rounds went almost exactly the way Khabib would have wanted, spending nearly the entire time either in top control on the mat, even surprising McGregor with some seriously brutal over hand rights.

Although McGregor fired back in the third round, finally being able to stand and strike, nothing was going to stop The Eagle, locking in the neck crank midway through the fourth and forcing the Irishman to tap.
