Despite a promising start to his time in the dugout, Frank Lampard has a mountain to climb if he intends on replicating the success he had as a player in a legendary two-decade career.

Though initially subject to accusations of nepotism when he broke into the first team at uncle Harry Redknapp's West Ham, Lampard would prove all the doubters wrong before signing for Chelsea in 2001.

A midfielder with an incredible eye for goal, at Stamford Bridge Lampard would cement his legacy as one of the greatest talents in the club's history, playing an integral part in Chelsea's ascension to the pinnacle of the domestic game, and narrowly missed out on being named Ballon D'or Winner in 2005.
