I can hear everyone reading this now, calling me an idiot for putting the treble winners anywhere lower than the top three but hear me out.

Yes this team is full of iconic players, yes Dwight Yorke and Jaap Stam were brilliant signings, yes they had an amazing never-say-die attitude and yes they are the only team on this list to have won the coveted treble.

But, this list is mainly focusing on what they were like in the league and quite frankly they are one of the worst Premier League winning sides in this regard. 79 points, just one clear of Arsenal and 22 wins put them right down the bottom if we focus on the stats. And while the two late goals from Sheringham and Solskjaer against Bayern Munich in the UCL final were magical, you could not reasonable say that they were the better team.

Whether you like it or not the treble winners are highly overated. To be honest they ought to have finihed lower on this list.
