Manager: Claudio Ranieri

Points: 81

Other Honours: None

You do not know how much I wanted to put this team first. The 5000-1 fairy tale is perhaps the greatest and most beloved football story of all time. Just a year earlier they had escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth and had appointed a manager who had overseen a defeat to the Faroe Islands in his last job. This team were destined for the drop. And yet they became champions.

Claudio Ranieri inspired them with pizza, Kasper Schmiechel channeled his dad's abilities, Wes Morgan lead them with passion, Kante ran the midfield, Riyad Mahrez provided the flair and creativity and Jamie Vardy had a party full of goals up top.

They were aided by faltering campaigns from all the traditional front-runners. 81 points, 23 wins and 68 goals ain't much and a goal difference of +32 is the joint worst on this list. But in terms of the story no other team can match Leicester's. Dilly Ding, Dilly Dong!
