After a record breaking season, Manchester City had to do the impossible all over again. They weren't quite as clinical this time round, and they faced perhaps the hardest opponent of them all in the shape of Klopp's Liverpool, but in the end it was Guardiola who triumphed.

Shock defeats to Crystal Palace and Newcastle had left the Citizen's with a lot of catching up to do, but a faultless 14 consecutive wins allowed them to snatch the title, captain Kompany's late screamer against Leicester, a decisive moment.

Under Guardiola's incredible man-management, City players went from strength-to-strength. £57 million defender Aymeric Laporte proved his worth, Raheem Sterling went from mockery to inspirational talisman and player of the year Bernardo Silva stepped into injury plagued Kevin De Bruyne's boots, seamlessly.

The first team ever to win the domestic treble and the first time in history that a club has held the four main English trophies to boot. Truly sensational.
