F1 2013 - Mid-Season Report

Caterham The 2013 Formula One season, which started in Australia back in March, has already reached the midway point with the traditional mid-summer break having already begun. The break means that it will be another 3 weeks until we are back up and running again for the Belgium Grand Prix at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit, so to fill the void I will be rounding up the performances of each respective driver. Dramatic moments and controversy and synonymous with F1 but this year really has been spectacular. From Vettel ignoring team orders in Malaysia, to the delamination of Pirelli tires at the British Grand Prix, there has always been something to talk about from the opening 10 races. My analysis of each driver will be marked out of 10, with 10 being perfect and 1 being utterly hopeless. I will be giving key positives and negatives to each driver€™s 2013 season thus far while also giving an overview to each respective team. When the season returns from the summer break, the focus will be on who can stop Vettel from clinching his 4th straight world title. With Mercedes, Ferrari and Lotus all hoping to improve their performance by the time we come back, the 2nd half of 2013 looks set to be magnificent.

Red Bull (277 Points)

Red Bull have once again put Sebastian Vettel in a commanding position to take his 4th straight title. The Newey designed car is again one of the fastest on the grid with Vettel seemingly able to get everything out of it. While it hasn€™t been completely plain sailing for them, for example, struggles with the Pirelli tires and a mechanical fault here and there, Red Bull look certain to at the very least take the constructors€™ title.
