2. Michu
The Expectation Following a hugely successful season with Swansea, in which the Spaniard scored 18 league goals, Michu was always going to be a big player this year for Fantasy Football players. His scoring record was impressive, and he chipped in with enough assists to make him one of the top choices for midfielders. As a midfielder in the game, Michu promised the same kind of goals that a striker would, without the need to take up an attacker's slot in the first team. With the Spaniard chosen, teams playing 3-4-3 could effectively play 3-3-4, overloading the attack even further and bringing more chance of goals and points. The Problem By his own high-set expectations, Michu is currently under-performing, which isn't ideal for any player around the £9 mark. At that level, every game counts, and if the player isn't performing the same sort of way as Yaya Toure, who comes in cheaper than Michu (as do a lot of strikers) they really aren't worth their place in the team. It's more than a little worrying to see Michu not sitting up at the top of the points tables with that sort of money invested, and players will find themselves debating taking him out to reinvest the money across two players, and spreading the outlay to attempt to match or even better the return.
