Fantasy Football Tips: 5 Expensive Misfits You Must Sell Immediately

4. Patrice Evra- £6.5million

Another team who've had a less than impressive start are Manchester United. Sitting 12th in the table with only 2 wins on the board, the Red Devils have made their worst start to a season since the 1989-90 campaign in the old First Division. Whilst it is a team game, the responsibility for conceding 8 goals falls squarely to the back five and I just think, in particular, Patrice Evra hasn't fulfilled expectation and hasn't quite become the valuable asset to the team that he was so much last season. Additionally, he may find himself on the bench more often as Moyes looks to rotate his squad and give opportunities to the junior left backs Alexander Buttner and Guillermo Varela. With that in mind, he has bagged 19 points and is joint second as United's best defender this season only behind Rio Ferdinand, who is currently on 22 points. But, given that he is so valued by club and in the game (he is at £6.5million, the dearest defender), he should be accruing more assists and consequently possibly more bonus points. Given that he isn't even United's best performing defender and far behind cheaper full backs like Luke Shaw and Pablo Zabaleta, I think it may be worth the gamble for the 11% who have him to part with the Frenchman and strengthen elsewhere with more expensive recruits, while replacing him with a quality replacements like the aforementioned duo.
