Fantasy Football Tips: 5 Transfers You Must Make In Gameweek 32

5. Fabian Delph

Team: Aston Villa Position: Midfielder Value: £4.4m Selected by: 2.7% Total score: 83 Points from last 4 games: 25 (avg. 6.25 ppg) Next 4 fixtures: Manchester United (A), Fulham (H), Crystal Palace (A), Southampton (H) Fabian Delph is yet another player that slipped under the radar for most Fantasy Football players. To be honest, I didn't know that he existed till he quietly climbed up the "Form" rankings in recent weeks. Assisting twice and scoring once in his last three games, keeping a surprising clean sheet against Chelsea in an even more surprising 1-0 win, Delph should be one of the players that you'll have to consider buying. Every gameweek, every player gets one free transfer to use where points wouldn't be deducted for a solitary transfer. Delph is what I consider to be an emergency loanee. For example, if you know a high-profile midfielder, like Adam Lallana (Southampton, £7.9m) for example, wouldn't be: a) playing, due to injury, or when a manager wants to rest him for a more significant fixture next week, or simply to offer him a much-needed rest. b) wouldn't be playing much, which happens when, likewise, a manager wants to make he is in top condition for a more important match next week, or when he is very likely going to be used as an impact/emergency substitute. c) wouldn't be worth playing, when you know he is not going to do well because his team is most probably going to get thrashed by a more formidable opposition. then it would be a good idea to use your free transfer to do a temporary switch with Delph since he is also a budget option at only £4.4m. A good example how Delph had been an impact player in a number of Fantasy squads is in Gameweek 30. In that week, Lallana only played 55 minutes in the Saint's 4-2 win over Norwich City. Those managers who made a genius transfer to bring Delph in for only this match paid off, as Lallana notch himself one point while Delph got himself a solid 11 points. And, depending on their respective fixtures, you can either choose to keep him till you're confident your original midfielder can do better than Delph, or simply use your free transfer next week to get back your initial player which shouldn't be much of an issue since the funds are rotated only between these two players.
