4. Fernando Llorente - £7.5m

Fernando Llorente arrived in the English Premier League with a big reputation but a declining track record last summer. The big Spaniard had failed to reach the 10-goal mark in three of his past four seasons in Italy and Spain, but slotted effortlessly into Swansea City's system, with his form one of only a few highlights in a largely miserable season.

With 15 goals from 33 appearances, Llorente was an extremely effective outlet at the head of Swansea's attack. He finished with 146 total points last season, but his effectiveness hasn't gone unnoticed by bigger clubs, and Chelsea have reportedly targeted him to rotate with new signing Alvaro Morata. This reduction in Llorente's playing time would make him a less worthwhile acquisition, but for now, he'd be a smart choice.

The former Spanish international looks set to miss the start of the season after suffering a broken arm on holiday, and the loss of Gylfi Sigurdsson as a creative force would limit the numbers of chances created for him. These downsides can't be ignored, but Llorente more than proved his worth as a Premier League striker in 2017-18.
