As with Tim Howard, Andre Schurrle has just returned to club duty off the back of a highly impressive World Cup campaign. Though he was primarily used as an impact substitute by Joachim Löw, with all six of his appearances coming from the bench, Schurrle still managed to score an impressive three goals to help fire his country to tournament glory. At club level he is also used sparingly, with half of his 30 appearances last season coming off the bench, but you can put your money on him making an impact, as the German scored eight goals in 2013-14. Following his impressive displays at the finals in Brazil, Schurrle could be set for more starts under Jose Mourinho next season, particularly following the departures of Romelu Lukaku, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o. And even if he doesn't start week-to-week, there's always the chance he will step up off the bench to grab himself a goal or two, as he has done so to such good effect for both club and country over the last 12 months. £7.5 million means he is worth taking a gamble on as well, especially if you're low on funds. £7.5 million
