4. Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea) - 29.5% Of Teams Selected
Ivanovic is one of Chelsea's key defenders, and a man you can rely on for a goal or two. Five goals last term, and another already this season, he's a man who'll be to the fore of a lot of teams all season. Chelsea are a very strong team defensively, and will expect to keep a significant amount of clean sheets this season. With a settled and predictable defence, you can take your pick from possibly 3 regular defenders. Of these, Cole and Ivanovic are the most expensive, with Ivanovic being the defender of choice among the two. Personally, I'd buy Ivanovic, but you may prefer the cheaper John Terry or Gary Cahill, both £6 million. Don't forget that free week in Gameweek 3! If you are missing a Chelsea defender, wait until that particular gap has passed before buying one.
