There's no getting around the fact that Crystal Palace were terrible last year. Under both Alan Pardew and Sam Allardyce goals came at a huge premium, mostly because they let in a lot more than they scored.

That much will change under Frank De Boer, who never had any issue getting his Ajax teams to score - particularly during their league winning runs - thanks to a far more expansive approach than Allardyce. For most of last year it looked like Allardyce was fighting tooth and nail against relegation, and there was limited opportunity for free flowing attacking play.

Despite that, Zaha still finished with good numbers at the end of the season, with 11 assists and 7 goals (or in even more impressive terms, almost 50% of Palace's entire goals haul). They will score more, they will attack more and they will rely on Zaha's direct play even more, to the point where both of his final stats from last year will be surpassed easily.
