Fantasy Premier League Tips: 15 Best Point-Scoring Midfielders For 2017/18
8. Michail Antonio
Club: West Ham
Cost: £8m
He might be starting the season with an injury, but hopefully that won't keep him out for as long as Slaven Bilic's initially grave assessment seemed to suggest it might. If he can come back from it to recapture some of the form he showed last season on the way to becoming West Ham's Player Of The Year, he'll definitely be a gem for Fantasy Football pickers.
He turned out only 29 times last year before his injury, but still scored 9 goals and chipped in with 8 assists, along with taking 71 shots in total. Again, considering West Ham were so poor last year in the final third, that's pretty impressive, and when he has someone more prolific to aim his assists at, his chance creation rate should also improve markedly.
For now, he's a little bit of a gamble, because of the injury, but he's currently listed as due back at the start of the season, so he might well be up to full speed soon.
