Felipe Massa’s 5 Greatest Ferrari Moments

3. Canada 2008 - Two For One

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUeqylGWjq8 Presented beautifully in pure sound above, this fantastic double overtake was the defining moment in a great recovery drive by Felipe Massa at the Canadian Grand Prix in 2008. Following a safety car when Adrian Sutil's car caught fire, everyone raced into the pits for new tyres and fuel. Massa was among them, and his stop seemed straight forward, until they realised there was no fuel in the car. Due to this error, he had to pit again the following lap, dropping him to the very back of the field. Over the rest of the race, with one more pit stop, Massa worked his way through the field. This moment was a bold and brilliant piece of overtaking that showcased his afternoons work, as he struck from a long way back to elbow his way past Kovalainen's McLaren and Barrichello's Honda as they slid wide in the hairpin, caused by the Finn trying to overtake the veteran Brazilian himself. They both fell prey to the charging Massa, who drove off to battle with the Toyota drivers, passing Trulli with just a few laps to go to eventually finish fifth. With Hamilton taking himself out of the race by spectacularly driving into the back of Massa's teammate Raikkonen at the end of the pit lane early in the race, they were important championship points and showed just what Massa could deliver.
