3. Juan Mata - FIFA 14 Rating - 87
There's a well-worn out cliché in football - "it's a game of two halves". That was true of Juan Mata's campaign last season as he spent half of it on the bench at Chelsea and the other playing first team football at Manchester United. Signed from the Blues in the January transfer window, Mata has made a good start to his career at Old Trafford over the past few months and wasted no time in making an impact. The Spanish midfielder netted six league goals in 15 Premier League appearances last season and has even earned a reputation as United's new set-piece specialist having scored a series of free-kick goals. Indisputably United's best midfield player, Mata has lived up to his billing after becoming the Manchester club's record transfer signing last winter. His rating of 87 in FIFA 14 was a fair reflection and it would also be fair to keep him where he is. Though he struggled to crack into first team contention at Chelsea during the first half of last season, he has flourished since joining United and another 87 would be a logical estimation. PREDICTED FIFA 15 RATING: 87
