FifPro XI: 11 Players Who Statistically Should Have Been In

1. Cristiano Ronaldo - Real Madrid

Position: Striker Age: 28 Market Value: £88 million Previous Clubs: Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United YES! Cristiano Ronaldo makes it comfortably into the Stats XI. The Real Madrid forward, Portuguese captain and current Ballon d'Or champion is just one of two players (along with Ibrahimovic) to make it into the Stats XI as well as the FIFPro World XI. Ronaldo has scored 20 goals this season and is Europe's second highest scorer after Suarez, as well as contributing 4 assists for his fellow Madrid forwards. The Portuguese international has one of the best scoring records in the world right now, with 400 goals in his 653 games against 109 different opponents and after being crowned the best player in the world over the last year, Ronaldo more than deserves his spot in the Stats XI. His individual performances for Real Madrid have been magnificent this season after he single-handedly dragged Portugal to the 2014 World Cup with a 4-2 aggregate victory, in which he scored all four of Portugal's goals over the two legs, it would be ludicrous if the statistics had omitted Ronaldo. The Portuguese forward is currently rated as the second most valuable player in the world right now by Transfer Markt, and with 69 goals in the last calendar year, I challenge you to find a player (except a certain Argentinian) that is better than Cristiano Ronaldo.
