FifPro XI: 11 Players Who Statistically Should Have Been In

11. Vincent Enyeama - Lille

Position: Goalkeeper Age: 31 Market Value: £3.1 million Previous Clubs: Ibom Stars, Enyimba, Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Bnei Yehuda, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Maccabi Tel Aviv (on loan from Lille) If you don't follow French football and you think you've already heard of Vincent Enyeama, it's probably because he takes a mean penalty. In his 15-year career so far, Enyeama has bagged 18 goals from the spot, with the first 10 coming between 2001 and 2004 at Enyimba, and the other 8 coming at Hapoel Tel Aviv. Fast forward to 2014, and if the World XI had been based purely on a goalkeeper's clean sheet record, Enyeama would be the man f or the most prestigious of all 'keeping jobs. He has broken into the Lille first team this season under Rene Girard at the expense of Steeve Elana, who was first choice under Rudi Garcia. The Nigerian Goalkeeper, and 2011 national player of the year, has kept an impressive FOURTEEN clean sheets in 21 games for Lille so far this season, and even went on a run of games in which he did not concede a goal in 1062 minutes of football, a run which spanned during four months between September 15th and December 8th. The goalkeeper makes an average of just under 3 saves per game, and if it wasn't for the own goal that ended his run at Bordeaux, he would have come mightily close to beating Gaetan Huard's record of 1176 minutes without conceding.
