Formula 1 2013 Canadian Grand Prix – Sebastian Vettel Finally Masters Montreal

Looking Ahead There€™s a three-week break now ahead of the British Grand Prix. During that time, the FIA hearing will take place for Mercedes and Pirelli, meaning Formula 1 will be given plenty of attention for its politics as opposed to its racing. That will likely have implications into the following race, especially for Mercedes if any penalties are handed out. The new Silverstone offers an excellent track, with high-speed flowing corners that Formula 1 drivers and fans love. Last year we had a great battle to the flag between Webber and Alonso, with the Australian snatching his second win at one of Formula 1€™s spiritual homes. Many teams call it their home race and will be in front of a passionate crowd, not least for the four British drivers on the grid. Also, it will see the introduction of Pirelli€™s revised tyre compounds, giving us a glimpse at what the season might hold ahead. Red Bull will aim to keep their run of form going at a track they have succeeded on in the past, while Alonso and Ferrari will be aiming to take them off the top step in pursuit of both championships, maintaining form rather than continuing the rather topsy-turvy outcome race-by-race that we€™ve seen so far this season from them. Lotus will want to get back to the sharp end after a weekend solidly in the midfield, while Mercedes will be wanting to hunt down second in the constructors with their renewed form. Force India will look to maintain their position as best of the rest, while McLaren will be pleased just to score solid points after a weekend to forget. Torro Rosso will hope to apply their high top speed to a power circuit, and Sauber and Williams will be desperate just to be competitive again. Hopefully it will be a race full of surprises.
