Despite their problems, when Fulham get into full flow they can be a joy to watch. The 4-1 win over Crystal Palace was one of those rare occasions when everything comes off. Patjim Kasami can testify to that - his wonder-goal inexplicably failed to win October Goal Of The Month on Match Of The Day but his name will be etched into folklore. The problem is, when the chips are down, the Craven Cottage outfit have lacked bite and a desire to get the ball back - instead surrendering meekly. Amorebieta, a Jol defensive signing, merely succeeded in setting Liverpool on their way with his own-goal at Anfield. A side containing the lackadaiscal qualities of Berbatov, Tarrabt, Bryan Ruiz and Darren Bent is not likely to bleed for the shirt, and if Jol makes it to the summer still in a job, even to January, he must surely rip this side apart and start again. The problem is, Jol probably recognised the need for containment away at Liverpool, as he started with one up front. But when you think of the hard-working qualities neccessary for such a role, is Berbatov really the best option? Such judgement may prove Jol's undoing before long.
