Fulham: 5 Reasons It's Time For Martin Jol To Go

1. New Owner Makes Position Vulnerable

A golden rule for any manager under new ownership - make it impossible for them to sack you. Sam Allardyce tried and failed when the Venkys took charge - even 13th was not acceptable, so Jol must do better than 17th. Three defeats on the spin leave him on thin ice, and with Swansea, West Ham and Tottenham to come, the games aren't getting much easier. Shahid Khan is Fulham's new owner, and is no stranger to sport, as owner of the American football team Jacksonville Jaguars. His wonderful moustache will be getting a severe stroking over the coming days as he ponders whether to give Jol more time to turn Fulham around. International breaks are the ideal time to change manager, as it gives a new incumbent time to assess matters and slowly slide their feet under the table. For Fulham however, more drastic action may be required - Jol will be hoping Khan possesses the utmost patience, as that of many Fulham fans is wearing thin.
