How A World Football XI Might Look In 5 Years Time

Left-Back- DAVID ALABA

Many people probably look at Alaba and assume he's older than he is, given the maturity he plays with for Bayern Munich, but the Austria international was born in 1992. Feel old? The 22-year-old is probably the world's best left-back currently as it is, but he won't be going anywhere for quite some time. Blessed with a terrific left foot, Alaba is classy and measured going forward- he often plays in the centre of midfield for his country- but also very dependable defensively. That's where he has a clear edge over the likes of Jordi Alba and Marcelo. His set-piece delivery is exceptional, and he has pace to burn. To put it bluntly, he is pretty faultless. Assuming he continues to flourish at Bayern, which it's hard to see not happening, by the time he is 27 he could well be an even more complete full-back.
