'Injured' Kaka To Turn Down AC Milan Wages Until He's Fit Again

The 31-year old rejoined his former side this summer from La Liga side Real Madrid on a free transfer - taking a paycut in order for the deal to go through. His injury occurred against Torino in what was his first appearance since the move. He was substituted in the 68th minute.

'Yesterday was a tough day for me as I found out about my injury. It has been hard and difficult. I have decided that I don't want anything from Milan except their moral support and affection. Until I am fit again and ready to play, I have decided not to receive my wages.' - Kaka.
The Brazilian international has been ruled out for a number of weeks, and his decision not to be paid while injured will have gone down well with AC Milan fans. It's expected his wages will go to a charity of his choice. Kaka will miss the side's first Champions League game of the new campaign - against Celtic. He's expected to return next month, and added how he's 'already started the recovery progress'.
