2. Wayne Rooney
Wayne Rooney's unhappiness at Manchester United is there for all to see. It is common knowledge now that he has put in a second transfer request in three years to leave Old Trafford and he sat out each of United's final two games of the season. Incoming United manager David Moyes will reportedly ask Rooney for his full commitment ahead of the new campaign, or
will give permission for him to leave. Should such a scenario unfold, Chelsea could make a swoop for the England international in what would be one of the most shocking transfer moves in British football. With only two years remaining on his deal, United would be prepared to flog the striker for around £25 million and though they would be pained to sell to a domestic rival, they may not have a say in the matter if Rooney is as determined to leave as he says he is. With Fernando Torres only scoring once in the league all year and the jury still out on new boy Demba Ba, it is painfully apparent the Blues need at least one new striker and Rooney could fit the bill.
