Prestons signing of Kevin Davies this summer was a huge statement of intent from manager Simon Grayson. The former Bolton man is one of the most experienced players around and his years playing at a higher level will certainly prove crucial if Preston hope to make their long awaited promotion push this campaign. Whilst Davies has never been known as a prolific out and out striker his experience will no doubt help him snag a few at this level and if he can hit the ground running there is no reason why he wont be able to walk away with the golden boot.
