Leeds Transfer News: Ross McCormack Could Still Leave

Ross McCormack has sensationally gone back on his earlier statement that he was happy at Leeds, calling into Sky Sports News after the dismissal of manager Brian McDermott and refusing to categorically rule out a move away from the club. The Scottish international had previously said only three hours ago that he was happy at Leeds, but has changed his position after the news that McDermott had been sacked. In contrast to his firm position before, the 27-year-old €“ talking to SSN's Bryan Swanson €“ refused to rule out moving, openly stating he was 'gutted' at his manager's sacking - to the obvious disgust of former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan who was a guest on the show. The news is bound to interest both Cardiff City and West Ham United €“ both clubs were thought to be interested in the player, with the latter having tabled a £4 million bid. With six as-yet unnamed clubs now in the running for his signature, according to Sky Sports News, it remains to be seen whether either the Bluebirds or the Hammers will move for the now-disillusioned forward. West Ham were rumoured to be coming back in with a bid of £5 million for McCormack after the earlier rejection, and this news will undoubtedly interest the Hammers hierarchy.
