3. Andy Carroll
Andy Carroll, scorer of fourteen Premier League goals, signed for Liverpool in January 2010 for
£35 million as a reaction to Fernando Torres jumping ship to Chelsea. Six league goals in forty-two appearances later, he was pushed out on loan to West Ham after he didn't fit in with Brendan Rodgers' philosophy. It was not the future everybody envisioned when the young Englishman signed from Newcastle and he's gone from hot prospect to wilderness wanderer in the space of 18 months. The big man is still young at twenty-four, so his Liverpool future could be resolved with some hard work. And with Stewart Downing now remembering how to cross, anything is possible but the signing of Daniel Sturridge definitely looks as if there is no possibility of Carroll returning to Rodgers' Liverpool.
