Liverpool Transfers: 10 Players They Should Sign
1. Gonzalo Higuaín
Why They Should Buy HIm:
When talking of clinical finishers throughout Europe, Gonzalo Higuaín is one of the first that come to mind. An international with Argentina, he's racked up impressive goal tallies for Real Madrid and Napoli, scoring 107 in 190 games and 35 in 69 respectively. He was even rivalling the likes of Lionel Messi for the player with the best goals-to-shots ratio in Europe's top leagues at one point.
He'd fit perfectly in Liverpool's current team. Not only is he a fantastic finisher, but he can hold up the ball to allow pacey midfielders like Coutinho time to get forward. Furthermore, he's quick on the counter-attack, so could be the perfect focal point for the Anfield outfit's high energy playstyle.
He's also got the profile to be a marquee signing for Liverpool; someone who can get fans excited about the team again.
Why They Shouldn't:
Higuaín has spent a huge amount of his career playing in the Champion's League. While Napoli didn't quite manage to secure a place this season, if he does decide to leave the fact that Liverpool didn't make it either could be a critical mark against them.
He'd also be expensive, possibly more so than some of the others on this list. Top quality strikers don't come cheap, and Napoli aren't going to want to lose one of their remaining ones.
