Liverpool: 4 Things Brendan Rodgers Got Right In His First Season

3. Got The Best Out Of The British

In the squad that Brendan Rodgers inherited from Kenny Daglish there were several failed mega money signing from Daglish's attempts to buy British. Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing and Andy Carroll had all failed in their attempts to impress at Anfield after big money moves from there there respective clubs. With the exception of Andy Carrol, who was loaned to West Ham United as Rodgers didn't think he fitted his style of play, the others have defied the odds and showed promise in there second season at Liverpool With Henderson scoring five and Downing scoring four they have made a greater contribution to the teams efforts this season and these goals were coupled with some great displays. Granted they maybe should be scoring some more goals but they have showed great improvement under Rodger's guidance and surely this will continue next season.
