Liverpool: 5 Players They Must Sign To Catch Man City
2. Ricardo Rodriguez (AC Milan)
At 26 years of age, Ricardo Rodriguez should be coming into his prime and can offer a solution to several of Liverpool's problems.
Having released Alberto Moreno this summer, Liverpool are clearly short in the left-back area. Of course, Andrew Robertson has been a revolation since arriving from Hull, and so any left-back signing is always going to play second fiddle to the Scot. But that still doesn't mean that the Anfield club don't need some cover at LB.
To bring in a player of Rodriguez's quality, however, you'd have to offer him more than just a place as a back-up player who spends most of his time on the bench.
Fortunately, the classy left-footer isn't just a left-back, though. For AC Milan, Rodriguez has effortlessly filled in at centre-back, while his time for Switzerland - and at times Milan - has seen him play in a more attacking role, either as a winger or in central midfield.
Bringing in a player of the quality and versatility of Ricardo Rodriguez would be a fantastic coup for Liverpool, with the former Wolfsburg man having so much to bring to Jurgen Klopp's squad.
