Liverpool: 5 Reasons Reds Can Still Win The Premier League
5. Returning Players
Like most Premier League teams, Liverpool have had their fair share of injuries this season - mainly in defence but a few of their big attacking stars have had to take spells on the sidelines too. Daniel Sturridge, perhaps the biggest player to have been absent from the Starting XI returned in their win at Stoke at the weekend and is a huge bonus for the Reds. The bonus for Liverpool is that there is a lot of talent still to return to attempt in their title challenge. Perhaps the player they have missed most this season is full back Jose Enrique who has been out since early October with a knee injury. Manager Brendan Rodgers has experimented with many different options at full back in his absence, including Aly Cissokho, Jon Flanagan and Martin Kelly and while they have all impressed, they have failed to offer the consistency that the Spaniard brings to the side. Other names set to make a return to the Anfield pitch include Mamadou Sakho, Joe Allen and Vice Captain Daniel Agger and it is hard to argue that when they return to full strength, they will be a force to be reckoned with.
