Liverpool: 7 Things You Should Know About Raheem Sterling's Agent Aidy Ward

Raheem Sterling's agent has caused quite a storm this week...

Raheem Sterling has left Liverpool fans fuming this week having told the club he's plotting a move away in the summer.

Aidy Ward is the England international€™s agent, and the 34-year old has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons, coming across as arrogant and spiteful, having branded club legend Jamie Carragher a €œknob€ for offering his opinion on the current contract fiasco.

Ward stated: €œMy job is to make sure I do the best with them (my clients). If people say I am bad at my job, or they are badly advised it does not matter€.

A passionate defence of the way he conducts himself within his profession, perhaps, yet Ward saved his strongest words for former Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher.

€œCarragher is a knob. Everybody knows it€ he claimed. €œAny of the criticism from current pundits or ex-Liverpool players - none of them things matter to me. It is not relevant€.

Ward has almost become the story, arguably breaking one of the golden rules of his trade and taking the limelight when his prized asset should be the focal point.

Publicly calling Carragher has added fuel to an already-raging fire and has left Ward firmly entrapped within the media spotlight, and here are seven things you should know about the outspoken agent.
