12. Simon Mignolet - Goalkeeper

Mignolet is undoubtedly Liverpool's number one between the sticks these days, with Pepe Reina departed to Bayern Munich and Brad Jones offering little in terms of competition. The 26-year-old has been a very fine acquisition by the club since joining from Sunderland in the summer of 2013, strengthening his reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. His shot-stopping is his main area of expertise, with his stunning late save from Morgan Schneiderlin on Sunday an early contender for Save of the Season. His decision-making is improving all the time too, and it's easy to forget that, certainly in goalkeeping terms, Mignolet is still a young player and should be years from his peak. The Belgium international has won 14 caps for his country, and he would have appeared far more were he not being kept out by the imperious Thibaut Courtois.
