Liverpool Transfer News: £12 Million Andriy Yarmolenko Bid Made

Yarmolenko Tweet According to Metro, Brendan Rodgers' side have submitted a £12million bid for Ukrainian star Andriy Yarmalenko, who plays for Dinamo Kiev, and who Ukrainian national coach Oleg Blohkin has called "unstoppable". They say that Liverpool are closing in on the deal, though the figure suggested is a stark contradiction to the reported bid of ‚23m (£19.7m) that The Express said they had made last night. Rodgers may face competition from AC Milan, who have been credited with long-standing interest in the striker, not least by his own agent who said his client wants to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Andriy Shevchenko in Italy. But The Express claim Milan had a £17m bid rejected, which makes Metro's claim of a £12m offer from Liverpool even more contradictory. And that news of the Milan bid actually came from Yarmolenko's agent Mikhail Gulordava who said: "Milan made a ‚20m (£17m) bid for Yarmolenko, but the only way to tempt Kiev's president is to make an offer that he can't refuse. So will this happen? With Fabio Borini on the verge of a loan signing to Sunderland, it seems possible that Liverpool might be looking to boost their attacking options, though the acquisition of Victor Moses might be enough of an addition to plug any holes. What do you think? Should Brendan Rodgers bid again for Yarmolenko? Share your thoughts below.
