Liverpool Transfers: 10 Dream Alternatives To Loic Remy

8. Wilfried Bony (Swansea)

Swansea City seem to be playing hardball with Liverpool over any potential transfer of Wilfried Bony to Anfield or anywhere else, with Swans manager Garry Monk recently insisting that the Reds would have to pay an 'astronomical fee' to take the player away from the Liberty Stadium. The 25-year-old Ivorian striker had a good World Cup with Cote d'Ivoire and an impressive debut season in England last year, netting 17 Premier League goals in 34 matches for the South Wales club. Bony has been linked with a switch to Liverpool since Luis Suarez left the club, but it is thought that Brendan Rodgers cooled his interest in the player before pursuing Loic Remy because of the £20 million figure his current club were said to be demanding. Bony is a strong physical specimen who offers a deadly eye for goal, but with only one season of Premier League experience under his belt a concern for Liverpool fans could be that he doesn't seem to be the box office name some fans are hoping for.
