Liverpool Transfers: 10 Signings To Ensure Premier League Glory
5. Danny Ings
With Fabio Borini, Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert all facing uncertain futures at Anfield, Liverpool are likely to be in need of some striking options come August, and one option that they have reportedly already looked at is Danny Ings. The Burnley striker has impressed in his first season in the Premier League and is likely to move on this summer, with Tottenham, Real Sociedad and Liverpool all rumoured to be interested. If Liverpool were to purchase the striker they would have to pay Burnley a compensation fee of around £3.5 million, according to reports. Granted, Danny Ings might not be the household name that will excite all Liverpool fans, but he has got the quality to improved Brendan Rodgers side. He has scored nine goals in the Premier League this season, in a side that create nowhere near as many chances as Liverpool do. Ings has been compared to Michael Owen in terms of his style of play and if he could reach the level Owen did during his time at Anfield, the Kop would have a new hero.
