Liverpool Transfers: 10 Signings To Ensure Premier League Glory
4. Sami Khedira
Sami Khedira is available on a free in the summer. It would be silly for Liverpool not to be interested as the Real Madrid midfielders contract expires in the summer. Khedira is a driving force in the midfield, something The Reds need to replace Steven Gerrard. he'd also be a great player for fellow German Emre Can to learn from. It feels like Sami has been around for years, but he only turns 28 in April and has five years left at the top level of European football. The physicality would suit Khedira and he would go straight into the starting line-up if he was signed by Brendan Rodgers. With Gerrard leaving and the future of Joe Allen and Lucas Leiva uncertain, it is important for the Reds to strengthen in the midfield and this would be a signing that would say Liverpool are ready to challenge for the title. Khedira has suffered from a bad knee injury in recent years and has fell out of favour at Madrid so a move looks certain, with plenty of Liverpools league rivals sure to be interested. If the Reds were to pull this one off it would be important that they retain their Champions League spot.
