Liverpool Transfers: 10 World Class Players To Buy With Suarez Money

8. Paul Pogba

/AP/Press Association Images/AP/Press Association ImagesWith Liverpool stalwart Steven Gerrard now 34 and in the twilight of his career, Brendan Rodgers may use some of the proceeds from the Suarez sale to buy in a world class replacement - and may opt for Paul Pogba of Juventus. Pogba came in for special praise from Rio Ferdinand earlier in the week, with the Manchester United legend saying the Frenchman could one day be considered the "best midfielder in the world". The 21-year-old is just starting to find his feet at club level following his disappointing spell at United but scored seven goals in Serie A last season and also headed a crucial win against Nigeria for France in the World Cup last 16. Pogba has all the makings of a future world class player and could even be considered the heir apparent to Gerrard. Like Gerrard, Pogba can play offensively or defensively and his creativity means he is always going forward to help his teammates in attack. But he is also strong and powerful, too, and not afraid to shirk his defensive duties when he is required to put a shift in at the opposite end of the pitch. It remains to be seen if Juve would be willing to sell Pogba given his untold potential but with the £80 million from the Suarez sale Brendan Rodgers could certainly make a tempting offer.
