9. Xherdan Shaqiri
David Vincent/AP/Press Association ImagesXherdan Shaqiri has been one of the stand out performers at this summer's World Cup finals, despite Switzerland's exit from the competition at the hands of Argentina earlier this week. The Swiss international became the first player to score a hat-trick for his country at the World Cup in the recent group stage win against Honduras, and at 22 has an extremely promising future. So much so, the Bayern Munich winger
has been dubbed by some as the Alpine Messi and he has already struck 23 goals for his club despite relative inexperience and lack of playing time. Shaqiri only managed 17 Bundesliga appearances last term - of which he started only 10 - and would find game time a lot easier to come by at Anfield, where manager Brendan Rodgers has shown he is prepared to give youth a chance. Recent reports suggest Shaqiri must choose between signing a new contract with Bayern or join Liverpool - who are
the player's only suitors at present - and a deal for the exciting youngster could be struck this summer as Rodgers prepares for life without Suarez.
