3. Going Back Home To Newcastle
A return to Newcastle has been talked about for several weeks now and although a bid from The Magpies had been rejected for the young Geordie, it is believed Andy Carroll would prefer a return to his hometown club if he is forced out of Liverpool. 23-year-old Andy Carroll joined Liverpool from Newcastle in January 2010 for a record fee of £35 million. Whilst Newcastle might be keen to reunite Carroll with the St James Park crowd, Liverpool won't want to loose to much money on the deal and are holding out for closer to £20 million. In his final season for Newcastle, Carroll scored 11 times in just 19 league games comparing that to a disappointing 35 league starts last season for Liverpool amounting to 4 goals. Carroll might be keen to leave Liverpool but reuniting with his old team may not be the right move for the club especially with Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse on top form for The Magpies.
