Of course, one of the biggest dilemmas for Brendan Rodgers this summer is how to replace Luis Suarez. One person who could help fill it is Valencia striker Roberto Soldado. Soldado has been on Tottenham's radar for much of the summer but the North Londoners are reluctant to match his £26 million release clause, which could leave the door open for Liverpool. The Spain international scored 24 goals in 35 appearances last season and was La Liga's fifth-highest goalscorer behind only Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Radamel Falcao and new Manchester City signing Alvaro Negredo. Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offer the £26 million that Valencia are demanding for the 28-year-old as Rodgers prepares for life without Suarez.
