Liverpool Transfers: 5 Alternatives To Nabil Fekir
4. Piotr Zieliński
Another past target Liverpool could revisit in light of their collapsed move for Fekir is Piotr Zieliński, who's currently plying his trade with Napoli in Serie A.
The Reds bid for the Polish international while he was at Udinese in 2016 but it was rejected, with the player subsequently moving to Naples that same window. That hasn't stopped some fans from speculating as to what might've been though, and while he's never exactly lit up the Italian top flight, Zieliński is a superb midfielder and one who could reignite the creative spark in a Liverpool midfield that struggled for ideas last season.
Though last season's league tally of four goals and two assists doesn't sound particularly impressive, it's important to remember that the player has found himself behind Jorginho, Hamsik and Allan for much of his time at the club. By no means does that mean he's not ready for a move to Anfield though, and while he ostensibly lacks the versatility displayed by Fekir, he could be the final piece of the puzzle for Klopp's new midfield.
