Liverpool Transfers: 5 Reasons Why Luis Suarez Will Be Sold

5. He's More Trouble Than He's Worth

It makes sense with all the aggravation that he has caused the team in the last couple of years that they should just let him go. He may be their star player, but teams have had to put up with losing their best players since football began. In total, Suarez has been banned for a staggering 18 games following his on the field run ins with Manchester United left back Patrice Evra, who he allegedly made racist remarks to, and Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic for biting his arm. In the grand scheme of things that does not sound like a big ban, but it's still half a season of Suarez that Liverpool have missed out on thanks to his stupidity. Considering he's been there since January 2011, that's near enough a sixth of his league playing time at the club. The club have also suffered as a result of Suarez's actions off the field. Ill-advised t-shirts supporting him during the racist incident with Evra, added to the trouble he has caused in asking for a transfer and accusing the club of broken promises has left Rodgers tearing his hair out. Surely the easiest thing to do is just sell him to the highest bidder?
