Liverpool Transfers: 5 Reasons Why Luis Suarez Will Be Sold

2. They Don't Need Him

It may sound stupid, but the Reds will manage just fine without him. Yes he's an excellent player and a mainstay in the first team, but so was Fernando Torres and look who they replaced him with. Yep, Suarez. Rodgers is not daft, and has been looking for replacements for the Uruguayan already, with a reported bid of £21million for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa turned down by the Spanish club. But why make a very public bid for another top class striker when you already have two in your ranks? The answer is simple. Rodgers fully expects Suarez to leave and was looking at contingency plans already. At the time a transfer for Suarez could still have happened, and he was still banned for six matches for the biting incident. A replacement will always be found, and although they may differ in skill set, they have the potential to be as successful, as I'm sure Costa will be should he move to Anfield.
