Liverpool Transfers: 6 Last-Minute Alternatives To Yevhen Konoplyanka
4. Antonio Candreva
Perhaps a more experienced alternative to Konoplyanka is Lazio's Antonio Candreva. Reports in Italy suggest Liverpool are chasing a deal for the 26-year-old, with Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera linking Brendan Rodgers with a move for the winger. Known for his pace, stamina, passing and technique, Candreva is expected to star for Italy at this summer's World Cup, and though the Reds are looking into securing a deal in the summer, they may well want to act now as a successful tournament for the midfielder later this year will see his market value shoot through the roof. Any move, either in this month's window or at the end of the season, is bound to be complicated as both Lazio and Serie A rivals Udinese own 50% of the player. Lazio are looking into securing a £7 million deal to take complete ownership of Candreva though Liverpool could rival them. Candreva scored six goals in 32 Serie A appearances for Lazio last season.
