4. Adam Johnson (Man City)
Cruelly over-looked by Roberto Mancini this season, and even criticised openly in public by the Italian, you could well forgive the former Middlesbrough man for wanting out of the Premier League winners before the summer transfer window closes at the end of August. And it seems Mancini is now ready to get rid of the player, who would likely cost around £8m to any of the numerous Premier League team who will no doubt line up to sign him. Johnson combines pace and a willingness to run at defenders, with strong crossing and is comfortable shooting from distance - a skill-set unfortunately overlooked and undervalued for most of his Man City career. The players needs an opportunity to rebuild his reputation after being left out of the Euro 2012 squad, and first team football has to be high on his agenda with Man City likely to extend their squad even further this close season. He would join fellow England fringe player Stewart Downing in the Liverpool squad, and would fit perfectly into Brendan Rodgers' manifesto for ball retention mixed with the attacking outlets that the manager was occasionally lacking at Swansea.
