Liverpool are expected to announce the signing of Nabil Fekir from Lyon over the next few days and take their summer spending to £150 million.

The story has been reported by CaughtOffside, and journalist Mootaz Chehade also tweeted out that the transfer was a "done deal". He then backed up his claims by saying an announcement was imminent from Anfield that they had signed the 24-year old Frenchman.

This is a statement of intent from Jürgen Klopp for next season. Liverpool already boast top attacking talent like Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, and now they have the incoming Naby Keita, Fabinho and Fekir to bolster things in midfield.

Though Chehade didn't speculate on a transfer fee for the Lyon man, French site Le Parisien had already reported that Fekir will cost the Premier League side at least €60 million.

It's another bold move from Klopp in the transfer market, but he will be buoyed by the sensational success of Salah last season. Fekir scored 18 goals in 29 Ligue 1 appearances during the 2017-2018 campaign, and he's part of the 23-man French squad for the 2018 World Cup.
