Liverpool vs Crystal Palace - 5 Ways Eagles Could Pull Off An Upset

ian holloway In all honesty and as a balance to the article Crystal Palace will need a minor miracle to cause an upset against Liverpool an Anfield. The visitors are on a run of 16 away games in the league without a win and I don't see them getting 3 points this weekend. For me an upset would be a draw as the bookers are firmly backing Roger's lads to wrap up an easy win over the relegation battlers. In fact Crystal Palace are one of two teams (the other is Sunderland) to not yet keep a clean sheet. Another unwelcomed stat is that Holloway's side have failed to score in 11 of their last 18 games. It smacks back to my 3rd point, they need to score and score early if they have a hope to get anything out of the game. The Palace side does lack quality and whether the likes of Phillips and Chamakh have what to takes at this level remains to be seen, but they do have a bright light ahead for the future in the figure of Gayle. Can Palace cause an upset at Anfield? Of course they can, this is football after all and if you had asked many people if Arsenal would be the only side out of the 'genuine' title contenders to get a win last weekend, the answer would have been 'No' from 90% of the interviewees. However I did predict the majority of the results last weekend so I'll wish for some early cheer for Ian Holloway and go for a drab 0-0.
