Liverpool's Greatest Premier League XI

Left Forward - LUIS SUAREZ

Has there ever been a more naturally gifted player to play for Liverpool? In my opinion, Suarez tops the list. That doesn't make him the greatest ever Reds player, but he's the most talented in history. Although the 27-year-old was only at Anfield for three and a half years, what he achieved in that time was remarkable. His performances will be talked about forever. Having been good but not great in his first 18 months at the club, Suarez came alive during the 2012/13 campaign. 'El Pistolero' scored 30 goals in just 44 appearances, many of which were stunning efforts. The skill, vision and finishing on display were truly world-class, and a year later he was even better. Suarez won all the individual Premier League awards going in 2013/14, scoring 31 goals despite not taking penalties and missing the first six weeks of the season through suspension. At one point there was an argument to say he was the best player on the planet. He may have been far from an angel during his time on Merseyside, but the things he did with a ball were simply stunning. His move to Barcelona this summer was inevitable, but it's hard to begrudge a player of his ability a move to arguably the biggest club in the world. He is a genius of a player.
