Man City 0-1 Chelsea - 5 Things We Learned

2. Chelsea Can Win The Title

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho dismissed his side's title hopes in his post-match press conference and suggested his side have a better chance of winning next season's league. The Special One proffered that if the title race is a three horse race this term, his team are a €œlittle horse, that needs to drink milk and learn how to jump€. It was a humorous response when asked of his side's chances this season and one that was no doubt designed to take the pressure off his side. But make no mistake, the Blues are very much in this title race. They have won against City home and away this term, becoming the first team since Everton in 2010-11 to achieve that feat, and with 20 goals conceded have the division's best defence. With Nemanja Matic, they may also have the equivalent of Yaya Toure while Mohamed Salah will give them added attacking impetus for the remainder of the campaign. Beating one of the favourites for the title in their own backyard could serve as the springboard for Chelsea's season and they'll be right up there at the end.
